Born in Vibo Valentia in Calabria, Italy, Massimiliano Tropeano graduated from the University of Florence in Political Science with a major in Economics, followed by a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at CUOA Business School of Vicenza.
Massimiliano moved to India 20 years ago. He headed three buying offices for major Italian brands with responsibilities in buying, sourcing, production, quality control, merchandising, CSR, and passing through hard goods and children’s care items. In addition, he has sourcing experience in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
In 2016 he moved to Cambodia to work for a major German retail chain and in 2020 he joined GIZ (Deutsche Gesellshaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ – GmbH). Currently, Massimiliano is working for EuroCham as a Sustainability and Garment Expert and integrated expert for the GIZ Fabric project. He promotes the common interests of private and development sectors, mainly on all issues surrounding sustainability, compliance and renewable energy.
