Founded in Italy, their name Bft comes from the family name Bonollo, Francesco as the name of the founding father, and Thiene, the location where the business was set up.

Opening their first branch in Germany in 2002, was the first step towards entering the local market and understanding the many facets of each country.
From that moment they focused on customer satisfaction and diversified their services to suit every culture.

In 2004, Bft became part of the Somfy Group, giving them the support to gain significant market share and build a structured distribution network. A radical change that has facilitated the transition from a family-run business to a multinational organisation.
