Do you know that there are hundreds of Italian-style restaurants in Cambodia? Still, only a few are owned or managed by Italians and cook Italian dishes, using genuine Italian products and following Italian recipes.
To help fans of Italian food recognize the Italian restaurants in the Kingdom, the Italian-Cambodian Business Association has launched “Authentic Italian Restaurants In Cambodia.”
The initiative aims to raise awareness amongst Cambodian consumers, international travelers, or ex-pats on finding and identifying 100% Italian restaurants, Italian food providers, and resellers of authentically Made in Italy food products around the Country.
Says Luisa Gentile, ICBA Advisor and promoter of the initiative “With Authentic Italian Restaurants in Cambodia,” we wanted to acknowledge and recognize all the Italian restaurateurs who have put love and passion into making our cuisine known in the Country. It is also an excellent opportunity to protect our Italian culinary tradition, which is unique in the world “.
All Italian Restaurants in Cambodia have been invited to join the project with the caveat of
- being owned or managed by an Italian and/ or with an Italian chef in the kitchen;
- proposing authentic Italian dishes on the menu;
- having a business license with the Ministry of Tourism or Ministry of Commerce in Cambodia.
The initiative is endorsed by the Honorary Consul of Italy in Phnom Penh and the European Chamber of Commerce In Cambodia.
